Mary Harvey, Associate Provost for Program Development, has announced her intention to retire on June 30, 2016.

Mary joined the Office of the Provost in 1998 after serving for six years in the office of Foundation Relations. Mary is well known as a forceful advocate for the recruitment and retention of women faculty, establishing the Chicago Collaboration for Women in STEM, directing the Women’s Leadership Council and overseeing the University’s efforts to support dual career academics. Mary has also managed several leadership development programs for faculty. Having received her PhD in Art History at UChicago in 1987, Mary has been a champion for the arts on campus throughout her career and her leadership has helped give shape to many programs including the construction of the Logan Center for the Arts.

Please join me in thanking Mary for her many contributions to the University of Chicago. There will be an opportunity to gather and thank her personally as the date of her retirement approaches.
