As Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs, Ingrid Gould leads large-scale University-wide projects such as institutional accreditation and licensure for academic programs and collaboration with a national childcare provider that operates two on-campus centers. She is also responsible for managing sensitive matters with faculty and other academic appointees and for developing and implementing faculty and academic human resources policies.
She works closely with deans, department chairs, institute directors, and campus administrators to address a broad range of faculty and academic issues, ensuring the sound and equitable application of policies and principles. Ingrid represents the Provost on numerous committees, including the Board of the Library. She has chaired a diverse array of ad hoc faculty and staff committees, developing the University’s first sexual assault policy, revising student disciplinary procedures, and establishing guidelines for undergraduates wishing to travel abroad with University faculty members or funds.
Since beginning her career at the University of Chicago, Ingrid has worked in the Office of Campus and Student Life, the Booth School of Business, and the Office of the President, including serving twice as the Interim Affirmative Action Officer.
Ingrid earned her B.A. in Romance Languages and Literatures at the University of Chicago, and completed her M.A. at the Harris School of Public Policy Studies. In her free time, she enjoys books, birding, and travel.
