Assistant Director
 
Assistant Director Kara Kuligowski provides project management, communication, and implementation support for COVID-19 academic policies and planning, academic appointments, capital planning, and technology. She also works to support Vice Provost Daniel Abebe’s work on the Lab and Charter Schools, as well as other various K–12 initiatives.
 
Before joining the Office of the Provost, Kara provided communications and event support in the Humanities Division at the University of Chicago and was a case management specialist for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Kara holds a bachelor’s degree in law and society with honors and distinction from American University, a master’s degree in forensic psychology from George Washington University, and a master’s degree in creative writing from the University of Chicago.
