Associate Vice President for Finance & Budget Director
As the Associate Vice President for Finance and Budget Director, Katrina is responsible for developing a balanced operating budget, building stronger management tools, providing university-wide data analytics, generating long and short-range financial models, and implementing university-wide strategic budget initiatives.
Katrina joined the University of Chicago in March 2018, bringing with her an extensive understanding of budgets and finance within higher education. Katrina was most recently the Associate Vice President of Financial Planning and Budget at the University of Connecticut, and previously spent seven years at the University of California, Berkeley and University of California Office of the President. She started out her career working in various roles in the federal government in Washington, D.C., including working as an aide for two US Senators.
Katrina received a BA from Brigham Young University and a Master’s in Public Administration from Columbia University.
