Associate Vice President and University Budget Director
 
Paul Castellucci leads financial and operational management of over $2.6 billion in operating resources across multiple schools, divisions, and auxiliary business lines as well as the University’s annual capital budget. He also leads the development of resource planning analyses including the flow of funds with affiliates of the University and other resource planning issues.
 
Castellucci returned to the University after spending five years leading the Budget Office at Northwestern University. While there, he grew the research enterprise and redesigned the NU budget to address a sizable deficit. Prior to that, he served the University of Chicago in the Budget Office as an Assistant Director and key contributor to the development and coordination of the University’s financial strategy. Castellucci was previously a management consultant with McKinsey & Company, an applied mathematician with the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and a scientist for NASA Ames Research Center.
 
Castellucci holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University and a B.S.E. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan.
