Subject: Diversity and Inclusion Initiative
In the winter and spring quarters, following the 2016 Climate Survey Reports and the Diversity Advisory Council’s recommendations, the University held campus-wide discussions about creating an inclusive campus climate. We are grateful to all those who completed the climate survey and for the honest and sometimes challenging discussions in which many of you participated.
The data, reports, and conversations are helping us develop a broad initiative with the goal of creating a campus that is both diverse and inclusive. As a next step in our process, the Provost’s Office will host a series of focused conversations to share details about the developing initiative and to discuss and refine the programs and activities proposed for the first year. Your input is essential and we hope you will participate in one or more of these meetings. The dates for the sessions can be found here. Thank you for your involvement in this important work.
