Assistant Provost for Research
 
As Assistant Provost for Research, Elena leads strategic planning and implementation of major research initiatives in the Office of Research and across Divisions. Additionally, Elena oversees Research Development Support which targets large federal funding opportunities and provides comprehensive proposal development support, as well as seed funding for early-stage research. Her other responsibilities include the development of institutional analytics, benchmarking and projections for federal and corporate funding, and the metrics for broader impacts of research. Elena also oversees the research enterprise operations, including CASE joint appointment process and collaborations with the National Laboratories.
 
Elena joined the University in 2008 as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Psychology, and in 2011 joined the Booth School of Business as Adjunct Assistant Professor of Behavioral Science. In 2014, she took on administrative leadership, serving first as the Director of Research Innovation and then as the Executive Director of Research Development Support. Elena received her Ed. D. from Harvard University.
