Assistant Director

As Assistant Director, Kara provides project management and implementation support for Freedom of Expression and K–12 initiatives. She also supports sustainability and technology initiatives.

Before joining the Office of the Provost, Kara provided communications and event support in the Humanities Division at the University of Chicago and was a case management specialist for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Kara holds a bachelor’s degree in Law and Society with Honors and Distinction from American University, a master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from George Washington University, and master’s in Creative Writing from the University of Chicago.
