Associate Provost
 
Associate Provost Philip Venticinque supports the Office of the Provost in several areas: academic affairs and faculty affairs, academic appointments, undergraduate initiatives, teaching and learning, assessment and accreditation, executive searches, and emeriti faculty affairs.
 
Prior to joining the University in 2018, Phil was an associate professor of classics at Cornell College where he taught and advised students since 2009. During his time at Cornell he held a variety of administrative positions, including chair of Classical and Modern Languages Department, faculty salary committee chair, and chair/program advisor of classical studies and archaeology; he also was involved in assessment and strategic initiatives. Phil received his BA, MA, and PhD degrees in classics from the University of Chicago. While a graduate student at the University, Phil also served as the associate student ombudsperson and then student ombudsperson from 2003–2005.
