Associate Provost & Chief of Staff
 
Nicki Nabasny is the Associate Provost and Chief of Staff at the University of Chicago. In that role, Nicki assists in implementation and tracking of strategic initiatives, facilitates work flow and coordination within the Office of the Provost, and manages various projects in support of the Provost. She also provides strategic and administrative capacity to The Pearson Institute for the Study and Resolution of Global Conflicts. She has held this role since June 2017.
 
Prior to joining the Office of the Provost, Nicki was Associate Dean of Alumni Relations and Development at the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy. In that capacity, she had responsibility for developing an external strategy with the dean, alumni engagement and fundraising at all levels. She worked at Harris Public Policy for five years.
 
Before moving to Chicago, Nicki spent eight years at the University of San Francisco, where she worked in university advancement overseeing fundraising for the School of Management and donor relations.
 
Nicki holds a BA and BS from Santa Clara University, a master’s in nonprofit administration from University of San Francisco, and a doctorate in education from University of San Francisco, where her dissertation focused on higher education administration.
