From: Ka Yee C. Lee, Provost
Subject: Request for Proposals: Provost’s Global Faculty Awards
Date: October 6, 2020
I am pleased to announce the opening of this year’s request for proposals for the Provost’s Global Faculty Awards. The Awards provide annual cost-reimbursable awards of up to USD $30,000 to support international faculty activities with a strong collaborative element in East Asia, South Asia, and Latin America. (The funding opportunity for the Center in Paris will open later this Autumn Quarter.)
The Awards are open to all UChicago faculty and other academic appointees from all schools, divisions, and fields of discipline. Proposal guidelines and submission requirements can be found at https://global.uchicago.edu/funding-resources. Proposal submissions are due by January 31, 2021.
This program, funded by the Office of the Provost and administered by UChicago Global, aims to activate and amplify relationships and research collaborations between individual researchers and institutions around the world. The ideal submission should showcase UChicago scholarship in a project incorporating meaningful participation and expertise from both the University and a partner institution in the target region.
