As associate director of provost communications reporting to the chief of staff, Ashley leads communications for Provost Baicker and the Office of the Provost.
Prior to joining the University of Chicago in 2026, Ashley served as director of the Office of Student Life at Saint Louis University's campus in Madrid, Spain, where she oversaw a team providing comprehensive student support. Her earlier experience includes chief of staff and executive communication roles at Saint Louis University in Missouri and the University of Missouri. Before moving into higher education, Ashley was a newspaper reporter, most recently at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Ashley has a master's degree in communication from Saint Louis University and a bachelor's degree in communication from Truman State University.
