Associate Provost for Equal Opportunity Programs
 
Bridget Collier is responsible for the Office of the Provost’s Equal Opportunity Programs (EOP), which includes the Center for Awareness, Resolution, Education, and Support (UChicago CARES) and Equal Opportunity & Access. The UChicago CARES team coordinates institution-wide compliance with the University’s non-discrimination and harassment policies and the provision of support, resources, reporting, and resolution options under those policies (including Title IX investigations). The Equal Opportunity & Access team also oversees the University’s efforts related to accessibility broadly and compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act, and equal employment opportunities and the preparation of the University’s Affirmative Action Plan, including conducting outreach and providing support and engagement opportunities for veterans and the military-affiliated community and individuals with disabilities. Bridget joined the University of Chicago in May of 2015 as Dean of Students and Senior Director of Student Engagement at the Graham School, where she provided innovative and strategic leadership for a variety of programs in service to students. Bridget has more than 20 years of higher education administrative experience in program improvement, crisis response, and student development, and holds a master’s in education and student affairs administration from Northern Arizona University and a doctorate in education and higher education administration from the University of Southern California. She is also the founder and past chair of the Chicagoland Title IX Consortium, an organization consisting of more than 75 higher education institutions seeking to enhance knowledge, understanding, and application of Title IX policies and resources to further gender parity and reduce sexual misconduct.
