Sarah Willis

 

As the Event and Program Manager, Sarah Willis works with Tiana Pyer-Pereira to develop trainings for the inclusive leadership series and mentorship and inclusion workshops, manages and coordinates volunteer facilitators, and assists with department consultations on diversity matters. Sarah also manages events for the diversity and inclusion programs, working closely with Vice Provost Waldo Johnson and colleagues in the Office of the Provost.

 

Prior to joining the University in September 2018, Sarah served the Roosevelt University community by organizing Roosevelt's Commencement and Convocation ceremonies and processed degree conferrals for all colleges in the University. She was chair of the Staff Cultural Competency taskforce, which provided guidance to staff in matters of cultural awareness and effective communication, and served on the Title IX facilitation team.

 

Sarah does not shy away from a challenge. In 2016 she completed her master’s degree in sociology from Roosevelt University while working full-time and training for the Chicago Marathon.
