Susan Rushford is the Executive Assistant to Provost Baicker in the Office of the Provost.
She joined the Office of the Provost in 2023, bringing over 20 years of experience supporting senior executives and leadership teams across a diverse range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, hospitality, and private equity real estate investment management. Prior to joining UChicago, she built a career defined by adaptability and a talent for anticipating the needs of complex organizations and their leaders.
Sue earned her bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master's in linguistics, with a focus on teaching English as a second language, from Northeastern Illinois University. She also holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
