The Handbook for Faculty and Other Academic Appointees provides useful information most pertinent to our faculty and other academic appointees. It includes information about the University, appointment ranks and obligations, resources, procedures, and policies that govern academic life. It also details benefits for all academic appointees. This resource serves as an overview and is not exhaustive. Content will be updated as policies, procedures, and programs are developed or amended and updates may be made at any time and without prior notice. The online version is the latest and supersedes any previous versions of policies.

 

Nothing in this guide changes the basic terms and conditions of employment that are set out in the letter of appointment sent from the Office of the Provost or University HR policies. Each department, division, or school may have its own procedures for many of the general policies linked to in this guide. For more information about policies and procedures pertaining to your particular academic unit, please contact your department chair or dean.
