Senior Associate Provost

Senior Associate Provost Ingrid Gould is responsible for various human resource-related concerns of the faculty such as leaves and retirement. She leads the University’s institutional accreditation and licensure and helped bring onsite childcare to campus. She works closely with deans, department chairs, directors, and campus administrators to address a broad range of sensitive academic and interpersonal matters with faculty and other academic appointees. These collaborations guide policy development and refinement and require the sound and equitable application of policies and principles.

Her UChicago career has spanned Campus and Student Life, the Booth School of Business, and the Office of the President. She served twice as the interim affirmative action officer, a role that then encompassed all protected-class and Title IX issues.

Ingrid earned her BA in romance languages and literatures at the University of Chicago and completed her MA at the Harris School of Public Policy. In her free time, she enjoys books, birding, and cooking.
