The University of Chicago's emeriti faculty have raised the bar for research and teaching throughout their distinguished academic careers. There are diverse ways emeriti faculty engage in the University community after retirement—whether through continuing scholarship and teaching, providing input, or participating in campus events and activities, emeriti are an important part of the University of Chicago.

The Office of the Provost supports the UChicago emeriti community through communications, the development of new resources, and liaising with other University offices whose policies and processes impact retired faculty.
