In general, the University expects faculty members and academic personnel to seek their own private counsel for legal advice. The University's Office of Legal Counsel is devoted entirely to University legal affairs. However, upon request, the staff of that office will attempt to offer guidance in the evaluation of particular problems and in finding private legal counsel where appropriate.
