From time to time the Office of the Provost, after appropriate consultation, designates as mandatory the execution of an agreement, viz., present assignment of future rights in intellectual property, or the completion of a training, viz., training on sexual misconduct. In such cases, those who fail to execute the agreement or complete the training by the deadline are ineligible for any increase in salary. Their salary will remain flat until the next regular pay cycle that occurs after they have completed the training or executed the agreement. Missed incremental pay raises will not be given after the fact and additional payments in those amounts will not be supplied; those incremental pay raises are not recoverable.
